As you may know, World Book Day is a registered charity on a mission to give every child and young person a book of their own. It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind and recognised in over 100 countries all over the world. We had a FABULOUS day with plenty of imaginative costumes, a whole school assembly, where staff shared some of their favourite children’s books and plenty of photo opportunities! Members of our School Council were impartial judges of the best costume competition. The winners (1 child per year group) were as follows: Noah (Pre-school), Bethany, Alexia, Aliza, Georgia, Purdy, Nell and Jack. Kate from Pre-school won the best staff effort!

Please encourage your child/children to use their book token that have been given – they can take their book token to a local bookseller and can use it to pick one of TEN (exclusive, new and completely free) books. For further information, please look at the following link
