Harvest Festival - 7th October

On afternoon of the 7th of October, the children walked to Buckland Newton church, in order to take part in the Harvest Festival. They were laden with produce which, as you can see from the photgraphs over filled the table that was set up for donations. During the festival the children of Beech Class explained why the charity of Water Aid (which the School Council had chosen to receive the money raised) was so important. Oak Class children explained how important the harvesting of wheat is. Did you know that doors which are made from the straw are more fire resistant than doors that are made from wood?! The congregation were also reminded by the children from both Maple and Willow Class of the importance of giving thanks for all that we receive.
