It was a bit like a postal sorting office in Willow classroom at times, in the last week of term. It has long been upper KS2’s responsibility to empty the school Christmas post box and sort the hundreds of cards into classes and then individual pupils, staff, governors and friends of BNS. It’s a tough job but one that the children relish! Cards are hand-delivered in our last act of Collective Worship of the school term – we have a communal card-opening session, accompanied by Christmas music, chaos and impressive noise levels. During this service, we also have a whole-school competitive rendition of ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. All staff and children sing their hearts out!
