Every year World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated in March. We decided to celebrate the day on Friday 22nd March so as many children as possible would be in school to take part. This year, the global theme was ‘Leave No-one Behind.’
We understand that every child with Down’s syndrome should have the same opportunities as everyone else, in all areas of life. Inclusion is extremely important to us as a school.
People with Down’s syndrome from all over the world came together at the United Nations in Geneva and New York to talk about why they shouldn’t be left behind. All over the world people wore mismatched socks #LotsOfSocks to raise awareness of World Down Syndrome Day.
