‘Schools, Headteachers and Teachers will decide how to use the Pupil Premium allocation as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for individual pupils.’

At Buckland Newton Primary School, we have high aspirations for our children and we believe that no child should be left behind. It is not your background, but your dedication and commitment to learning that make the difference between success and failure. We are determined to ensure that all our children are given every chance to realise their full potential.
The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils. The government believes this is the best way to address the current underlying national inequalities between children who are eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers, and close the gap in attainment. It is allocated on a yearly basis
